MADISON, Wis. — MPD responded to three different reports of shots fired, one of which injured a person who showed up at a Madison hospital.
Three unrelated incidents of shots fired were reported to police late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, police received the report of gun shots at the 10 block of Lathrop Street. Officers found multiple shell casings in the area.
One person was injured and arrived at a Madison hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers were later dispatched to the 2100 block of Atwood Avenue around 1:04 a.m.
According to police, one shell casing was found on the street but no injuries or property damages have been reported.
Police also responded to Lake State and State Street around 1:23 a.m. after a witness said they saw a male holding a gun in front of a car. Witnesses say the suspect was yelling at the occupants of the car then fled the scene.
MPD was unable to locate the suspect. No injuries or damages were reported from this incident.
