MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Badgers are announcing their COVID-19 protocols for fans planning to attend games at Camp Randall Stadium this fall, including guidance on where masks will be required or encouraged.
The athletic department says all fans will be required to wear masks at all times when they are in an indoor area of the stadium regardless of their vaccination status, unless they are actively eating or drinking.
The indoor mask requirement covers restrooms, elevators, suites and club seats, the Bucky’s Locker Room store, first aid rooms, Guest Services locations and the press box.
Masks will not be required but will be strongly encouraged — especially for those who are not vaccinated — for everyone in outdoor public spaces, including the seating bowl, entry gates, concourses and concession stands.
Staff working at the stadium will be required to wear a mask in all indoor areas and all concession staff will be required to wear masks.
“The health and safety of our fans remains our top priority. We will continue to work closely with local and campus health officials to ensure a safe game day experience,” Director of Football Brand Communications Brian Lucas said in a statement announcing the policy.
The 12th-ranked Badgers open the 2021 season at Camp Randall Stadium against 19th-ranked Penn State on Saturday, September 4th. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
