MADISON, Wis. — Police are investigating after a vehicle and two guns were stolen from a pair of residences on Madison’s west side.
Authorities said they responded to the 7200 block of Tempe Drive around 8:45 a.m. after a resident reported that someone broke into their vehicle and stole two guns, an AR-15 and a pistol, from the trunk.
Fifteen minutes later, officers responded to the 3100 block of Muir Field Road, just around the corner from the Tempe Drive residence, for a report of a missing vehicle. The victim told police their tan 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche had been stolen. They didn’t know if the keys were inside the car when it was stolen.
Police said they don’t have information about the suspect(s) from either theft.
Both investigations are ongoing.
