BELOIT, Wis. — Some local kids got a chance to fish with law enforcement on Tuesday.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office hosted a “Cops and Bobbers” event in Beloit, teaming deputies up with about 20 local kids to fish at the lagoon at Riverside Park.
“It’s good that they come out, interact, learn other hobbies that they can do other than getting in trouble,” Sgt. Christopher Krahn said. “We teach them how to fish, we also do bowling events, archery events, so it’s expanded over the years and we give these kids a lot of opportunities to get out and do different things.”
