FENNIMORE, Wis. — Grant County authorities are asking the public to avoid an intersection in Fennimore because of an active gas leak.
According to a Facebook post, a gas line was struck at the intersection of 8th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Police and fire crews are working to evacuate buildings within a two-block radius.
Evacuees can meet at the Fennimore High School to check in with Grant County Emergency Management.
It’s unclear how long the area will be impacted. Officials said Monday morning that WE Energies was en route to the location.
