MADISON, Wis. — UW Health is encouraging drivers to keep an eye out for children who are walking or biking on the roads as they return to school in the next week.
The number of traffic deaths in Dane County has already exceeded the total for all of 2020, especially when it comes to pedestrian crashes.
Parents are encouraged to talk to their children about the route they take to school, and drivers should always slow down and pay close attention in school zones.
Adults should always walk with children younger than ten.
