MADISON, Wis. — A fire at an eastside business caused an estimated $245,000 in damage Monday night.
Firefighters were sent to the Kipp Corporation on Atwood Avenue around 9 p.m. after employees were unable to put out the fire on their own.
Responding crews found light smoke showing from a door. Once they located the flames, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire. An automatic fire helped with the efforts.
Crews went on to shut down the sprinkler, cut power to the oven that started the fire and ventilated the building.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
