MADISON, Wis. — It’s been more than a year since the last time fans filed into Camp Randall Stadium for a Badgers football Saturday, and the university wants to make sure everyone plans ahead.
With new procedures at the gates, including a switch to an all-digital ticketing system, fans should expect significant delays if they’re still trying to get into the stadium just before the 11 a.m. kickoff against Penn State.

The athletic department says the best time to get into the stadium without delays is between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. — when most people should be able to get through the gates in less than a minute. If you get to the stadium between 10:15 a.m. and 10:35 a.m., you should still be able to get through the gets in 5 to 10 minutes. If you cut it close and don’t get to Camp Randall until 10:35 a.m. or later, you could be waiting in line for 15 to 25 minutes — meaning you could miss pregame festivities and the start of the game.
For those looking for some fun before the game, Badgerville at the Engineering Mall will open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” will be broadcasting live from Badgerville starting at 9 a.m.
The Badgers are expected to be on the for warmups at about 10:05 a.m. before heading back to the locker room while the UW Marching Band takes the field at 10:35 a.m.
After the national anthem is played at 10:50 a.m., the now-iconic Badgers introduction video set to “Where the Streets Have No Name” will play at 10:55 as the team makes its way out of the tunnel and back onto the field before the 11 a.m. kickoff.
