MADISON, Wis. — A thief stole a rifle hidden inside a car parked in downtown Madison on Friday, police said.
According to an incident report from the Madison Police Department, the victim reported their locked vehicle was broken into around 5:15 p.m. Friday. The car was parked in the 500 block of West Johnson Street, near Bassett Street.
Police said the victim’s rifle, an FAL that was hidden inside the vehicle, was stolen. Police do not have any information about the suspect.
Authorities said their investigation is ongoing.
