MADISON, Wis. — Police in Madison say they are investigating a string of strong-armed robberies over the last few days that they believe were committed by the same man.
A total of five robberies took place across the city between Thursday, September 2nd and Sunday, September 5th. Police say the victims in all five robberies reported a similar suspect or experiences, leading them to believe the same person was involved in all five.
- Thursday, September 2nd: 2:08 p.m. at BP/Stop N Go (6202 Schroeder Road)
- Victim and witnesses described the suspect as a 5’4″ to 5’6″ Black man between 20 to 30 years old with a dark sweatshirt, dark pants and dark face mask. The suspect was armed with a gun.
- Friday, September 3rd: 2:25 p.m. at Asian Midway Foods (301 S. Park Street)
- Victim and witnesses described the suspect as a 5’4″ to 5’6″ Black man wearing a dark hoodie or jacket similar to a Carhartt jacket, dark pants and a black face mask. The suspect had a handgun.
- Saturday, September 4th: 8:09 a.m. at Kwik Trip (2402 W Broadway Dr.)
- Victim and witnesses described the suspect as a 5’4″ Black man with dark complexion wearing all-black clothes and armed with a handgun.
- Saturday, September 4th: 11:54 p.m. at Kwik Trip (3153 Maple Grove Dr.)
- Victim and witnesses described the suspect as a Black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black face mask. The suspect had a handgun.
- Sunday, September 5th: 12:09 a.m. at Walgreens (7810 Mineral Point Rd.)
- Victim and witnesses described the suspect as a Black man who was around 30 years old, between 5’8″ and 5’10” and weighing between 210 and 220 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black face mask and was armed with a handgun.
