More Information On Saturday Night Crash in Lafayette County

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department has released more information on a crash Saturday west of Darlington. A northbound vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle on County Highway O around 11:15pm, injuring 6 people. An investigation into the crash has confirmed that the northbound vehicle, a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, was driven by 21 year old Cameron Doyle of Shullsburg. The passenger in Doyle’s vehicle was 20 year old Hunter Alt of Plain. The southbound vehicle was driven by 34 year old Heather Mick of Shullsburg. Other passengers in Mick’s vehicle were 61 year old Twyla Mick of Shullsburg and two male children. It has been confirmed that the northbound vehicle driven by Doyle was over the centerline of the road, partially in the southbound lane at the time of the crash.  According to the sheriff’s department, speed does not appear to be a contributing factor to the crash. However, further investigation is ongoing to determine other contributing factors.
