Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to High Street in New Diggings Township Sunday around 7pm for a harassment complaint. As a result, 39 year old Nigil Gregersen of Benton was arrested for Domestic Battery, Strangulation, Disorderly Conduct, Threats to Injure, Felony Eluding and a valid Probation Warrant. The domestic abuse incident occurred a month ago and knowledge of the incident was learned Sunday night after authorities investigated the harassment complaint. After a brief pursuit, Gregersen drove into his own driveway and was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains in custody. Cuba City Police assisted at the scene.
