Suspicious Vehicle In Grant County

The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is looking out for a suspicious vehicle. On Thursday, at approximately 2:00 PM, a juvenile female was jogging on Pine Grove Road near the intersection of Whig Road, in Platteville Township. An unidentified middle-aged white male with brown hair driving a newer bright red mid-size pickup truck with a matching topper stopped near the juvenile. The man told the juvenile that he was diabetic and needed directions to the nearest hospital. The man then asked the juvenile to get in the vehicle and help him. The juvenile was able to flee and report the incident to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. A similar incident was reported the previous day near the Village of Dickeyville. However, the witness was unable to provide any identifying characteristics of the individual or the vehicle. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office would like to make residents aware of these two separate incidents.
