LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A downtown La Crosse building is a total loss following a fire early Thursday morning.
The fire inside the India Curry House began shortly after 4 a.m. and progressed into a larger fire a few hours later.
The building, along 4th Street across from the UPS Store, housed Hunan Chinese restaurant before it transitioned into the current India Curry House. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
La Crosse fire crews have been at the scene fighting the fire for several hours. News 8 Now will continue to provide updates as La Crosse fire officials learn more about the cause of this fire.
