Elections Commission Says Mail Slowdown Shouldn’t Be Problem For Absentee Voters

The Wisconsin Elections Commission doesn’t expect a national slowdown in mail delivery to affect the November vote.  A spokesperson says no issues are anticipated as long as voters act early.  Reid Magney says as long as you send in your completed ballot at least a week before Election Day, you will be counted.  The law says you can request an absentee ballot up until the Thursday before the election, but that’s probably cutting it too close.  One way to be sure is to fill out the absentee ballot, then drop it off.
