A home in Mineral Point was damaged by fire Wednesday afternoon. According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, firefighters responded around 3 p.m. to a house fire in the 300 block of High Street. Reports say the house sustained fire damage to the attic and some of the roof structure, plus moderate water damage and minor smoke damage. Faulty wiring in the attic of the house is a possible cause of the fire. No injuries were reported. Dodgeville firefighters also assisted at the scene.
