The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified Saturday by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office that 16 year old Mikayla Stephens of Darlington had passed away. Stephens was a passenger in the UTV crash that occurred on private property on County Highway G in Lafayette County on August 29th. Stephen’s death is the result of serious injuries she had sustained in the crash. Stephens was airlifted from the scene of the crash to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
