MADISON, Wis. — Two Madison residents were arrested Tuesday morning following what the city’s police department called a weeks-long drug investigation involving a business.
Thao Van Le, 50, faces six felony charges, including four counts of manufacturing/delivering cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place. Binh Hoa Nguyen, 54, faces a felony charge of maintaining a drug trafficking place and a misdemeanor charge of cocaine/coca possession.
In an incident report, police said officers served a search warrant at a business in the 2700 block of East Washington Avenue and arrested both people. Police did not name the business in question.
Online court records show a commissioner set a $500 signature bond for Le per case during an initial court appearance Thursday afternoon. A status conference has been scheduled for Oct. 31.
Nguyen is set to make an initial court appearance on Sept. 12.
