FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg police are investigating after they said multiple homes in the Swan Creek neighborhood were struck by gunfire.
Police said a bullet hit a home on Buttonbush Drive just after 5 p.m. Saturday. Two other reports of gunshots in the area of Stoneman and Sunflower drives were reported later in the evening.
After sunset, police said more gunshots were reported from the Nevin Springs Fish and Wildlife Area, which is next to the Swan Creek neighborhood. Drones were used to search the area, but no suspects were found.
Police said that no injuries stemming from the shots were reported and the incident remains under investigation.
