MADISON, Wis. — A not guilty plea was entered Tuesday for a Fitchburg man charged in a fatal shooting near Warner Park, online court records show.
Aquille Lowe, 27, faces five felony charges, including first-degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime and involving the use of a dangerous weapon, stemming from the July 22 shooting on Madison’s north side.
During an arraignment Tuesday, the court entered a Not Guilty plea for Lowe and his bail was continued. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 12.
Lowe is accused of shooting and killing Laron D. Bynum, 18, of Milwaukee. Bynum was found dead inside a Kia Optima that had been reported stolen.
A criminal complaint alleges that Lowe was part of a group that was searching for the vehicle. When the group found the vehicle, Lowe allegedly shot at the people inside while another person fired at the Kia from inside a getaway vehicle. Lowe was arrested in Ohio in August.
