MADISON, Wis. — Pro-choice advocates rallied at the Wisconsin State Capitol Thursday to call attention to abortion rights with less than two weeks before the Nov. 8 election.
During the “Speakout for Reproductive Freedom” rally, frontline healthcare providers described why they believe Wisconsinites need to be able to make their own medical decisions.
“Abortion isn’t the binary choice that politicians would have you make,” OB/GYN and physician Dr. Kristin Lyerly said. “You’re for or against. No, abortion is fundamental healthcare.”
Following the rally, the group marched to the headquarters of the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
