BELOIT, Wis. — Police in Beloit say a person who attempted to rob a Culver’s restaurant in the city Wednesday night is the same suspect wanted in similar robberies in three other southern Wisconsin communities.
The most recent attempted robbery happened just before 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Culver’s on Cranston Road in Beloit. Police said the suspect attempted to rob the restaurant via the drive-thru.
No one was injured.
Wednesday’s attempted robbery is the latest in a string of robberies and attempted robberies involving the fast food chain in the past month. On Sept. 26, the suspect pulled up to the drive-thru at the Culver’s in Lake Mills and passed a note to workers demanding money and threatening to use a gun, the community’s police department said. He drove off with an undisclosed amount of money.
On Oct. 6, the suspect attempted to rob the Culver’s on Milton Avenue in Janesville via the drive-thru, but employees closed the window and he drove off.
