DODGEVILLE, Wis. — Republican Sen. Ron Johnson visited multiple communities in southern Wisconsin Monday as part of his bus tour of the state in the days before the Nov. 8 election.
Johnson made stops in Portage, Mauston and Dodgeville on Monday, meeting with supporters just over a week before the election.
The incumbent senator said his experience sets him apart from his Democratic challenger, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes.
“There’s a very clear choice between the two candidates,” Johnson said. “I’ve got a lifetime of experience raising a family, building a business, creating good paying manufacturing jobs here in Wisconsin. I’m pretty proud of my record as a U.S. Senator. My tax cut for more than 20 million tax filers helps small businesses compete against the big guys and survive the pandemic.”
Johnson’s bus tour continues through next Monday.
