MADISON, Wis. – The Madison Reading Project is gearing up for one of the area’s biggest book drives beginning Thursday, November 10th.
The Madison Reading Project collects used books and also uses the money to buy new books to give to children and families in need.
From November 10th until December 10th, they will be collecting books and funds to support their annual holiday giving partnerships with Empty Stocking Club, Reach Dane and Boys and Girls Club of Dane County. Their goal is to raise $80,000 and collect 15,000 books this year. That’s up from last year’s $40,000 raised and 13,000 books donated.
Since 2014, the Madison Reading Project has given 352,824 books to 199,399 kids.
