FITCHBURG, Wis. — A number of road closures are scheduled for Thursday morning as runners take part in the annual Berbee Derby 10K and 5K run in Fitchburg.
The event is set to start at 8:30 a.m., though some road closures will begin as early as 6:30 a.m.
According to the city’s police department, the following roads will be closed:
- Eastbound East Cheryl Parkway will close at 6:30 a.m. at Fish Hatchery Road (attendees should access parking from the east via South Syene Road);
- Northbound Fish Hatchery Road will close from Lacy Road to McKee Road from 8 a.m. until approximately 10:30 a.m. with a detour using Richardson Street;
- Westbound East Cheryl Parkway will close at Woods Hollow Road at 8:25 a.m.; and
- Research Park Drive will close from the Fitchburg City Hall complex to Woods Hollow Road at 8:25 a.m.
In addition, northbound Fish Hatchery Road between McKee Road and Caddis Bend will be reduced to one lane.
Parking is also prohibited on East Cheryl Parkway, Dellvue Drive, Glacier Valley Road, Gunflint Trail and Woods Hollow Road amid the event.
