Two Dubuque residents have pleaded guilty in federal court for selling fentanyl in the city, with the woman continuing to do so even after the man was arrested. 25 year old Fallon Murphy pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, while 47 year old Jose Soto-Guzman pleaded guilty to distribution of a controlled substance near a protected location and possession of a firearm by a felon. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa reports that Soto-Guzman admitted to selling fentanyl to heroin users in the Dubuque area from March to June. Sentencing hearings for the two have not been scheduled yet.
