MADISON, Wis. — The Badger-Hawkeye Red Cross paid tribute to a former donor and volunteer Tuesday.
After donating blood for a co-worker who was battling cancer, Brad Morter made it his lifelong commitment to donate blood. Morter died unexpectedly last year.
His family joined the Red Cross Tuesday to unveil a stained glass window. A ‘108’ in the window represents the 108 gallons of blood he donated throughout his life.
“It’s amazing, it’s amazing,” Red Cross Southwest Chapter executive director Kyle Kriegl said. “He made such an impact, and that’s why we’re here to honor him for the great work that he did.”
