VERONA, Wis. — With the Winter Solstice just days away, the Wisconsin Brewing Company held a party Saturday to celebrate the darkest day of the year.
The brewery crafted three brews for the event, but a party wasn’t the only thing on tap. There was also a fundraiser for the Red Cross.
Dominic Rott is a local runner looking to honor his late grandmother in a big way.
“I decided to raise money for the American Red Cross to get a bib to the Boston Marathon,” Rott said.
Rott has already qualified for the race. He’s hoping to raise $10 thousand for the Red Cross to get his bib to run in the Spring.
