MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Madison is set to continue normal operations for the rest of this week despite a looming winter storm.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the university plans to stick to normal operations on Thursday for the last day of exams as well as for normal business on Friday.
“In general, it’s not possible for UW to reschedule or change the Thursday exam period to accommodate travel issues on Friday or beyond,” university spokesperson John Lucas said. “However, individual students with questions or concerns about final exam scheduling are encouraged to contact their instructors directly.”
In an update posted on the university’s website, officials said students who live in campus residence halls who experience travel delays due to the weather should email reslife@housing.wisc.edu for more information. Lucas added, however, those students will be responsible for their own meals.

Employees who can’t make it to campus should reach out to their supervisors and use paid time off.
