MADISON, Wis. — Madison Police say one person was taken to the hospital after she ran a red light and crashed into another car on the city’s west side Tuesday evening.
The crash happened on Mineral Point Rd. at Commerce Dr. just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
The initial report on the crash said a woman was trying to make a left turn off of Mineral Point Rd. onto Commerce Dr. when she was hit by another car that had sped through a red light. The driver of the car that ran the red light was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. That driver was also given a ticket for a red light violation.
Police say they are still investigating the crash.
