MONTELLO, Wis. — Two 17-year-old boys from Montello each face multiple charges following an armed home invasion earlier this week, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jayce Ellsworth-Messa and Dominick Ziolek each face one felony charge of burglary with a person present and misdemeanor charges of intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, criminal damage to property and battery, online court records show.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said the teens forced their way into a home in the town of Shields on Tuesday evening and demanded property from the person inside the home. They reportedly took several unspecified items from the home before running away.
Law enforcement officers later arrested one of the boys at his home and found the other a few hours later at another home, the release said.
The victim, who the sheriff’s office said the teens knew, was hurt in the home invasion, but the release did not provide further details about the extent of their injuries.
During a bail hearing Thursday afternoon, both teens were given a $10,00 cash bail with conditions, including not being allowed to communicate with each other or the victim or possess a gun. Both have initial court appearances Monday morning.
