MADISON, Wis. — A man charged last year with trafficking and sexually assaulting children is yet again facing new charges in the case.
Zachariah Singletary was arrested in October 2022 and initially charged with sexual assault of a child, four counts of trafficking a child, child enticement and more. Since then, prosecutors have filed an additional 11 counts of possession of child pornography against the man, four of which were added Thursday.

During an interview with police after Singletary’s arrest, one of the girls the 36-year-old targeted reportedly said Singletary routinely gave her and the other girls food, drinks, vapes, cigarettes, marijuana, and, on at least one occasion, chains.
The amended complaint also alleges that on Sept. 25, Singletary grabbed one of the girls by the neck and hit her in the back of the head after Singletary’s co-defendant Xavier Allen tried kissing the girl.
When searching Singletary’s phone after his arrest, police reportedly found multiple explicit videos and images of at least three underage girls, spanning from mid-September 2022 to early October 2022.
As of Wednesday, Singletary still had not been appointed an attorney from the public defender’s office. His next court appearance is a status conference scheduled for Jan. 24.
