MADISON, Wis. — Police arrested a 34-year-old man who they say pistol-whipped another person at a clinic on Madison’s east side Thursday morning.
In an incident report, Madison Police Department spokesperson Stephanie Fryer said officers were called to the clinic in the 3100 block of East Washington Avenue around 6 a.m. Thursday after witnesses reported a disturbance.
During the incident, police said the suspect pistol-whipped the victim and witnesses reported shots may have been fired, but officers never found any shell casings.
Police later identified a suspect and found him at a home in the 300 block of Russell Street in Baraboo where he was arrested.
The report did not say whether the victim was injured.
News 3 Now is not naming the man at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. Click here to learn more about the policy. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail.
