GREEN BAY, Wis. — A UW-Madison graduate has already made history within the Packers organization despite just being hired into a full-time position.
Erin Roberge, who’s been working as an intern for the team since the summer of 2020, is now the first female full-time athletic trainer in franchise history.
“Through the internship experiences over the last few years, it became apparent to us that Erin would be a great addition to our staff,” Packers director of sports medicine/head athletic trainer Bryan Engel said in a statement. “She shares a passion for the athletic-training profession and is dedicated to providing our players with the highest quality health care in the NFL.”
Roberge graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison before going on to earn her master’s degree in exercise science through Pennsylvania Western University with an emphasis in performance enhancement and injury prevention.
The Packers announced Roberge’s hiring Thursday afternoon.
