RACINE, Wis. — Racine police said two officers were shot Tuesday night while responding to a domestic incident.
According to a report from CBS58, officers were sent residence near West Blvd. and Gillen Street at around 10:46 p.m. A woman met the officers outside the residence and said her husband was inside with their two children.
The officers tried to communicate with the man for about an hour, but police said he fired multiple shots at the officers. Two officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
Police shot back at the man, and he ultimately left the house uninjured. Both children were also uninjured. The man was arrested and taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
