Dubuque police say a man suffered minor injuries after striking a tree with his car on Friday. 25 year old Kareem Purnell, of Dubuque sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital. According to a crash report, the crash occurred around 1 p.m. Friday on Freemont Avenue near its intersection with Dorothy Kay Drive. Purnell was traveling west on Freemont Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in a nearby yard. The car then rolled downhill into another tree at another residence before coming to rest.
