Public Meeting on Grant County Road Construction Project

A public meeting on U.S. Highway 61 improvements from Dickeyville to the southern edge of Lancaster is scheduled for Monday, March 20th at 6pm at the Youth and Ag Building at the Grant County Fairgrounds in Lancaster. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the proposed roadway improvements include construction of a roundabout at the U.S. Highway 61 and Highway 81 intersections. The intersection has a history of severe crashes in its current configuration. The total project length is approximately 17.5 miles from Alona Lane in Lancaster to Hickory Lane in Dickeyville. The project is currently scheduled to begin construction in March of 2023 and anticipated to be completed in mid-November of 2023.
