Police say a man cut another man with a machete in December in Dubuque. 27 year old Jonathan Luna of Dubuque was arrested Wednesday at his residence on a warrant charging assault while displaying a weapon. Reports say that Luna used a machete with a blade longer than five inches to cut 29 year old Gerald Runde III December 28th during a dispute at Luna’s residence. Luna had armed himself with a machete and threatened Runde to make him leave the residence. Runde was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital to receive several stitches to treat an injury to his arm.
