Detours on U.S. 20 through Galena resume next week

Work continues next week on a road improvement project in Galena, necessitating detours. Weather permitting, traffic changes related to reconstruction work on U.S. 20/Illinois 84 — known as Spring Street as it passes through Galena — will resume Monday, March 27. The changes are part of a $31.5 million project to reconstruct the road between Bench Street and Gear Street.
