Police say a woman from Dubuque was arrested for throwing a brick through the glass door of a Dubuque restaurant, causing over $1,500 in damage. 28 year old Diamond Mays was arrested Thursday at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on a warrant charging second-degree criminal mischief and trespassing–injury or damage greater than $300. A report says that police were called on September 20th to Shugga’s Soul Cafe on Iowa Street. Restaurant personnel reported that someone threw a brick through the glass door of the restaurant between 8:30 and 9:10 a.m., causing about $1,700 in damage. An investigation found that Mays walked to the restaurant and threw the brick through the window at about 9 a.m. The incident was captured on city traffic cameras. A warrant was later issued for Mays’ arrest on September 21st.
