Police arrested a Darlington man for Cocaine Possession. 36 year old Marvin Leonel Amaya-Mendez was arrested on Sunday just past 6am for possession of cocaine after a traffic stop on Galena Street. The Darlington Police Department’s K9, Ace, alerted authorities to the presence of cocaine in the vehicle following the traffic stop. Amaya-Mendez was booked into the Lafayette County Jail. Amaya-Mendez was also cited for open intoxicants in the vehicle as a passenger.
