Police say a man was arrested for an incident earlier this month in which he held a gun to his girlfriend’s head. 21 year old Christopher Eagle of Dubuque was arrested Saturday night on charges of going armed with intent, domestic abuse and first-degree harassment. A report says that 19 year old Taya Meyer of Cedar Rapids came to the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on Saturday to report a case of harassment from Eagle, who was previously her boyfriend. Meyer reported that the incident occurred April 9, when she was living with Eagle. Reports say that Meyer told Eagle she was leaving after looking through his phone and finding out he had been communicating with other women. Eagle then grabbed a handgun out of the hallway closet and pointed the gun at Meyer’s forehead. Officers spoke with Eagle Saturday, and Eagle admitted to having his gun around Meyer.
