Man Arrested For Sexual Assault, High Speed Chase

Police say a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint earlier this month led authorities on a brief high-speed chase Monday in Dubuque. 34 year old Billy Dotson of Dubuque was arrested  Tuesday in the area of University Avenue and Nevada Street on a charge of possession of marijuana and warrants charging second-degree sexual abuse, assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, domestic assault with strangulation, assault while displaying a weapon, use of a dangerous weapon in the commission of a crime, person ineligible to carry a dangerous weapon, criminal trespass, eluding and failure to appear in court. Reports say Dotson sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint May 10th at a residence in Asbury. This week, police identified Dotson as the driver of a vehicle involved in a high speed chase.
