One Person Dead in One Vehicle Crash

One person was killed in the crash that closed lanes of U.S. Highway 20 near East Dubuque early Monday morning. Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s officials said when first responders arrived at the scene of a one-vehicle crash, they found a man who had been ejected from the vehicle located near the vehicle.  The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jo Daviess County coroner. Deputies’ investigation showed the vehicle had been westbound on U.S. Highway 20 when the driver left the roadway, struck a tree and came to rest in a ditch. The accident remains under investigation.
