Dubuque Man Used Yahoo Account To Circulate Porn

Police say a Dubuque man emailed images of unclothed children in 2020. 36 year old Michael Woodruff was arrested Wednesday at his residence on a warrant charging two counts of possession of a depiction of a minor in a sex act. A report says Yahoo! Inc. alerted authorities in December 2020, that a person using a Yahoo account associated with Woodruff transmitted six images of potential child pornography using Yahoo email in July 2020. Police received a search warrant for Yahoo accounts associated with Woodruff and located the email related to the tip. Police interviewed Woodruff in July 2021. He admitted to having child pornography on his phone in the past but said he had deleted everything.
