One Person With Minor Injuries After Car Strikes Parked Car

Police said one person was injured Friday when the vehicle she was driving in Dubuque hit a parked car and rolled over. 85 year old Geraldine Gerhard of St. Donatus, was taken by ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. According to a report, the crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. Friday on University Avenue. Reports say Gerhard was traveling west on University and struck a parked vehicle, causing Gerhard’s car to roll over and hit another parked vehicle on the other side of the road. Gerhard’s car and the first parked car to be hit both had disabling damage and were towed from the scene, while the second parked car to be hit had minor damage and was driven away. Gerhard was cited with failure to maintain control.
