A man from Platteville is in jail following a disorderly conduct complaint around 4pm Monday. A deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s department responded to County Highway Double-X to investigate the disorderly conduct complaint. As a result, 69 year old William Whittet of Platteville was arrested for Domestic Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Domestic Disorderly Conduct, and Recklessly Endangering Safety with a Dangerous Weapon. Whittet was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
