Dubuque Man Threatens Woman With Sword

Authorities said a man threatened a woman with a sword and choked her multiple times during an altercation near Dubuque. 28 year old Jonathan Luna was arrested Monday at his residence on warrants charging domestic abuse while displaying a weapon, domestic assault with strangulation, domestic assault with injury, first-degree harassment and false imprisonment. A report says that Luna assaulted 27 year old Emily Schrobilgen, on July 9 at his residence. After striking Schrobilgen, Luna choked her four times, then retrieved a sword from an adjacent room and held it to her throat while threatening to kill her. Luna briefly attempted to prevent Schrobilgen from leaving the residence. But, eventually Schrobilgen left the residence and received a ride away from the scene.
