Man Asking For Sex at Hotel Arrested

Police say a man asked women how much he had to pay for sex at a Dubuque hotel.  23 year old Luis Lopez-Lopez, who was staying at a hotel was arrested Sunday at the hotel on charges of prostitution and public intoxication.  Officers were called to the hotel around 12:15 a.m. Sunday for a report of a man “banging” on the door of a room and asking for sex. Officers located a man in the parking lot fitting the description made in the report and later identified as Lopez-Lopez. Two women who were staying at the hotel told police Lopez-Lopez began “to bang on their door aggressively” after they returned to the hotel. One woman reported that when she opened the door, Lopez-Lopez asked them “how much he had to pay for sex.” Officers reported that Lopez-Lopez appeared visibly drunk when they spoke with him, and Lopez-Lopez admitted to having about 18 beers between 4 p.m. Saturday and 12:15 a.m. Sunday. His blood alcohol concentration  was 0.229%, well above the legal driving limit.
