Dubuque Woman Injured By Vehicle in Parking Lot

Police say a woman walking in a parking lot was struck and injured by a vehicle backing out of a space. 39 year old Briranda Griffin of Dubuque, was taken by ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. According to Dubuque police, a vehicle driven by 51 year old Jeremy Maus of San Diego, California was backing out of a parking space at 7:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of Central Avenue when his vehicle struck Griffin, who was walking behind the vehicle. A report states that Maus was not cited because the incident occurred on private property.
